circa 1845, with polished curved broad fullered 24in. spear-point blade false edged for the last 8 1/4in., plain forte, plain iron 'D' shaped knuckle-bow with locking catch for scabbard and turned down quillion, sharkskin covered grip (wire binding absent) and stepped pommel, complete with its iron-mounted leather scabbard
